Fortnite x Rick and Morty adds two more characters this week, with skins based on Pickle Rick and Rick Prime!
A new addition to the Fortnite x Rick and Morty collaboration arrives this week, following an unexpected announcement by Epic Games. The characters set for release include Pickle Rick and Rick Prime, both of which will become Fortnite skins alongside various other cosmetic items.
Here is everything we know about the third wave of Rick and Morty in Fortnite.
Pickle Rick and Rick Prime drop into Fortnite on March 6
This previously leaked collaboration welcomes Pickle Rick and Rick Prime to Fortnite as playable in-game characters. Although these skins have not yet been decrypted, the teaser provided a thorough look at what to expect. Those familiar with Rick and Morty will instantly recognize these two as faithful to the source material. This is also one of the rare occasions where a character that’s already a Back Bling will become a skin.
Unfortunately, the cost of these two characters is currently unknown, but it is worth noting that the Mecha Morty skin costs 1,500 V-Bucks. We can safely assume these two new characters may cost you anywhere between 1,200 and 1,500 V-Bucks.
One of the confirmed cosmetics based on the teaser above is an Emote based on the Rick and Morty ‘Wheel of Better Things,’ which appeared in the episode ‘Forgetting Sarick Mortshall.’ More details should emerge in the next few days, leading up to Pickle Rick and Rick Prime entering the Fortnite Item Shop on Friday, March 6.
A brief history of this collaboration in Fortnite
Believe it or not, Fortnite x Rick and Morty is one of the longer-running collaborations the game has to offer. Unfortunately, the original Rick Sanchez skin remains locked forever behind the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass. A mech-based Morty skin followed later in that same season, but has remained absent for the last 100 days.
That may or may not change when Pickle Rick and Rick Prime land in the Fortnite Item Shop. This collaboration precedes Rick and Morty Season 9, which is currently slated for release in Fall 2026, so it’s possible some other Fortnite-related cosmetics could emerge
