Fortnite has officially revealed the Laufey Festival collaboration for Season 14, including three skins, and much more!
Icelandic jazz-pop singer Laufey is coming to Fortnite to kick off Festival Season 14 on Thursday, April 16. This collaboration includes everything you would expect from the usual music-based crossovers: skins, songs, and plenty of other cosmetics. If that wasn’t enough, the Laufey skin will also appear as a non-playable character (NPC) on the Fortnite Island.
Here’s everything we’ve learned about the Fortnite x Laufey collab to celebrate Festival Season 14.
A complete look at the Laufey Fortnite skins and other cosmetics
Laufey’s collaboration follows the same formula we’ve seen before: two Outfits are included in the “Emberlight” Music Pass, while the other is exclusive to the Fortnite Item Shop. The Item Shop Laufey skin features the singer in a black dress with a collar with some lace accents.
The Item Shop bundle also includes one Back Bling, two Emotes, and one Microphone. Unfortunately, the pricing is unclear at this time, but you can expect to pay around 1,800 V-Bucks for the Laufey Fortnite Item Shop skin.
Tranversely, the Fortnite Festival Season 14 Music Pass will cost you 1,200 V-Bucks. Purchasing this grants you access to two additional Laufey skins: White Dress and Golden Era. You can also unlock additional cosmetics, Jam Tracks, and more via the Music Pass.

Laufey Music Pass Cosmetics & Jam Tracks

Overall, Fortnite has really peaked with capturing Laufey’s likeness for this skin. While the developers typically do well in this department, this crossover stands out, especially with the singer’s facial features.
Additional updates coming to Fortnite Festival Season 14

In addition to the Laufey Icon Series cosmetics, Season 14 introduces some gameplay changes to Fortnite Festival. Those include adding a Quick Mix UI and the ability to move while playing music. Furthermore, Mic Vocals and Pro Drums are coming to the game mode as well.
Mic Vocals lets you sing in real time with a compatible microphone on PC and console. Pro Drums enable you to plug in a Rock Band 4 drumset to give a more authentic feel for the instrument. These are all quality updates to Fortnite Festival based on the mode’s diehard fanbase.
This collaboration has received a mixed response from fans thus far. Some are still unclear about Laufey as a singer, while others are excited to see the Icelandic singer in-game. You can expect the Laufey skin and everything else to drop in Fortnite on Thursday, April 16!
