The TEKKEN 8 VSFighting XII tournament has the status of the TEKKEN World Tour Master event. Everything about it is here.

Only four qualifiers of this level are left in TEKKEN World Tour (TWT) 2024, and VSFighting XII is one of them. Some of the top players have secured their spots in the upcoming TWT Finals event, but many of them still travelled to the U.K. to participate in the tournament. Intense training is never excessive! The TEKKEN 8 VSFighting XII tournament is also a chance for some players to survive on the TWT leaderboard.

Top 8

Mulgold from South Korea had tough fights vs the American player KingReyJr. First, they played in the winners final, and to win this match, Mulgold switched from his usual main, Claudio, to Feng. In the grand final, he took Feng from the very beginning, and still, it was a super close 5-game match.

Mulgold is the winner of TEKKEN 8 VSFighting XII.

TEKKEN World Tour 2024: A Master event at VSFighting XII

Having a global qualifier of this rank boosts the status of the very event. Many TEKKEN celebrities are taking this trip to the U.K. to play at VSFighting XII and grind for standing points. An interesting thing to note is that some of them are flying to Riyadh next weekend for the Esports World Cup as well.

To reach the TWT 2024 Finals, players have to finish within the top 20 on the global leaderboard. However big this number may seem, it’s incredibly difficult to achieve that, considering the level of TEKKEN 8 pros.

Top participants

Here are some attendees to watch out for at VSFighting XII. We also go over some of their achievements and current TWT standings.

  • Mulgold is widely considered one of the best Korean players at the moment. He won Super Tournament 2024, and his main character is Claudio. Mulgold is occupying 4th place in the TWT standings.
  • Rangchu participated in many qualifiers throughout the year. He is known as the best Kuma/Panda player in the world. With this character, Rangchu finished 2nd at DreamHack Dallas 2024. He is 5th on the TWT leaderboard as well.
  • double is a Japanese player who won The MIXUP 2024, the previous Master event. This player mains another non-meta character, Marshall Law. He is 8th on the leaderboard.

Players from the second half of top 20

  • Jodd is a French player who mains Nina. He participates in many tournaments, and despite not having big victories, Jodd is 13th on the global leaderboard.
  • Raef is a player from Saudi Arabia. His highest placement this season is 5th-6th at DreamHack Summer 2024. Raef’s main TEKKEN 8 character is Jin Kazama. He is 14th in the general standings.
  • CBM achieved 3rd at DreamHack Dallas 2024. He is one more Jin player in the TWT top 20. CBM is in 15th place.
  • Keisuke demonstrated amazing competitive power at CEO 2024 with his Kazuya, where he played in the grand final and finished 2nd. Keisuke is currently 18th on the global leaderboard.
  • Fear Of Silence is one of two American players who are still fighting to qualify for the TWT Finals. He mains the top character on most tier lists, Dragunov. Fear Of Silence is in 19th place.
  • Kkokkoma usually plays Feng. He is in 20th place in the standings.

The competition here is intense because the points difference is small. Therefore, there's the risk of falling below the qualification zone.

After VSFighting XII, we will have these three TWT 2024 Master events: Emirates Showdown 2024 from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1, Punishment 3 on Sept. 7, and Thaiger Uppercut 2024 from Oct. 5 to Oct. 8. Stick around on esports.gg for more information on these and other TEKKEN 8 tournaments.
