The PGL Antwerp CS: GO Major is the first Major of the year and features the best CS: GO teams from all around the world. The Major has a $1 million prize pool and the winner gets a majority share. But it’s also about prestige of being the best CS: GO team in the world. Here’s all you need to know about the CS:GO Major schedule and format as well as live results.
The 2022 CS: GO Major takes place in Antwerp. The Major features three stages with the teams having to qualify to the next stage by placing in the top half of the current stage. Teams have played in the Regional Major Ranking events to qualify for the Major. The Major features 24 of the world’s best teams in action.
The PGL Antwerp Major will stream live on Twitch. PGL is using two Twitch channels to stream the matches live, its main channel as well as a secondary channel. PGL’s YouTube Channel also features the match VODs which will be useful if you missed a match.
What is the prize pool of PGL Antwerp Major?
The PGL Antwerp Major has a million dollar prize pool. The winner of the tournament gets half of the prize pool, $500,000. The second-placed team gets $150,000 and thereon.
What is the PGL Antwerp Major format?
The PGL Antwerp Major format is similar to other Majors. There are three stages, the Challengers, Contenders and finally the Champions stage. The Challengers Stage features sixteen teams who play in a Swiss format. The top eight teams move to the Contenders team where they will face off against the eight legends. The top eight teams from the Legends stage will advance to the Champions stage.
