New Hearthstone features come with patch 23.2, including the “Upgrade to Golden” option for cards

Hearthstone is getting new features with patch 23.2 that will enhance the player experience. What to expect, and how do they work?

The much-awaited 23.2 Hearthstone patch notes are here, and despite there being no nerfs this time, the new features coming up tomorrow are exciting. On top of the big Battlegrounds update with Nagas coming in and Buddies rotating out, players will be able to enjoy more content and features. Let's go over the New Features coming up with the 23.2 Hearthstone patch.

New Features coming with Hearthstone Patch 23.2

When everyone was hoping for Demon Hunter nerfs, the Hearthstone team surprised us all. The Hearthstone Patch 23.2 will bring three new game features that will improve players’ experience in general.

Developers mention that during the Year of the Hydra they want to focus on improving game client and experience, and Hearthstone patch 23.2 is all about that. Let's go over the new Hearthstone features that come with this patch.

How does the new Upgrade to Golden Hearthstone feature work?

Hearthstone is a collectible card game, and what do players want more than collect shiny cards? That is why, with Patch 23.2, Hearthstone players will be able to Upgrade cards to Golden.

Upgrade to Golden - New Hearthstone Feature

Some players were skeptical if this new Hearthstone feature would be monetized too hard. It seems it's not. The cost of upgrading a card to golden is just the plain difference between how much the golden and regular version cost.

So for an epic, the regular version costs 400 Arcane Dust, while the golden version 1600 Arcane Dust. If you want to upgrade a regular version to golden, you just pay the 1200 difference. This is cool if you take into account that you are somehow getting a “full refund” on the cost of the regular version card you are giving up.

“We knew from the start that we wanted this to be more than just a convenience feature; since it gives you the full dust value for any normal card you Upgrade, it’s also cheaper now to turn your normal cards Golden, making it more enticing for players to enjoy that attractive option!”

Share Deck Codes in Chat

Have you ever struggled with sharing deck codes in Hearthstone? Well, it seems you were not the only one. Once the Hearthstone 23.2 Patch hits, you will be able to enjoy this new feature that will help you share decks with your friends easier than ever without exiting the game.

On the topic, Devs commented that while Deck Codes were “one of the largest convenience improvements ever added to the game”, it was not easy to share them in-game. Now this new Hearthstone feature available tomorrow with the 23.2 patch will solve the problem.

Favorite Multiple Card Backs

The Hearthstone Card Back collection is massive, and picking just one might feel unpleasant since you are leaving so many cool ones out. Starting tomorrow, you will be able to choose multiple favorite Card backs that will be randomly equipped when you start a battle.

Don’t miss the game changes happening with the patch

On top of these new features, the 23.2 Hearthstone Patch brings huge changes to Battlegrounds. Nagas are taking the tavern by storm and Buddies are leaving. Bob will once again be our only friend (or maybe just another one of our enemies) in the tavern.

Furthermore, a new Heroic Brawliseum is coming to the depths of Sunken City. If you are up to a big challenge, that is the arena to prove you are worth it.

That is all for now, hope you are as excited as I am with the new features coming to the game. Stay tuned to Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates. See you next time in the tavern.
