The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is unquestionably one of the best in the National Football League (NFL). In just four years, Patrick Mahomes has won the Super Bowl, claimed a Super Bowl MVP, and a regular season MVP award, all before turning 27. Today marks another milestone for the superstar. Patrick Mahomes will forever etch himself in Fortnite Battle Royale history as an Icon Series member.
He joins the likes of LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, Neymar Jr, Harry Kane, and Chloe Kim as Icon Series athletes to receive an in-game set. Others on the list include Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and Marshmello. It's a significant moment as Patrick Mahomes becomes the first NFL player to have his likeness featured in Fortnite.
Patrick Mahomes reveals his Fortnite character skin
The 26-year-old NFL superstar took to Twitter with a video showcasing the quarterback admiring various Fortnite statues. Before stepping into his armor, he observes LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, and Meowscles.
Mahomes' in-game appearance draws gladiator inspiration for two of the three Icon Series styles. Furthermore, he comes equipped with a pickaxe, wrap, emote, and back bling.

How to win the Mahomes skin before it hits the Item Shop
On August 22 – one day before the Patrick Mahomes skin goes on sale – Epic Games hosts a tournament dedicated to this collaboration. The aptly named Patrick Mahomes Cup grants players the chance to win the entire set a day early. To compete, players can head into Fortnite during their region's time window and search for the Patrick Mahomes Cup via the 'Discover' tab.
This Zero Build squad tournament requires you to find three teammates. Then, you must earn points based on eliminations and placement. Finally, the highest point-earning teams in each region will receive the Patrick Mahomes Fortnite set and back bling. Additionally, competitors who earn at least eight points can unlock the Secret Sauce emoticon.
