The tournament will take place in three different cities in China: Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. Let's take a look at all the teams that have qualified for the competition.
LoL Worlds 2025 teams
At the LoL Worlds 2025, the 16 best teams from around the globe will compete for glory on the grand stage. Both the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) and the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) have three qualifying spots each.
Additionally, there is one more spot to be determined between the two fourth seeds: T1 and IG, who will face off on Oct. 14, 2025. The remaining regions have three spots each.
LCK
- Gen.G
- Hanwha Life
- KT Rolster
- T1 (needs to defeat IG to qualify)
Gen.G is living the dream with some of the best talent in the league. The team won the MSI 2025, the Esports World Cup, and returned home to win in the LCK 2025 Season Playoffs. They were the first team to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship in 2025.
Hanwha Life finished as the runners-up, losing to Gen.G with a score of 3-1 in the finals. This League of Legends World Championship holds special significance for HLE Peanut, as he will be fulfilling his mandatory military service and will miss the 2026 season.
Meanwhile, KT Rolster surprised everyone with an incredible run, earning the chance to compete at Worlds, an event they had not qualified for the previous year.
LPL
- Bilibili Gaming
- Anyone's Legend
- Top Esports
- IG (needs to defeat T1 to qualify)
In the LPL 2025 Grand Finals, BLG defeated Top Esports 3-2, becoming the champions of the Split. Anyone's Legend qualified for the tournament due to their Championship Points, and also for being the third seed of the region.
Now, their fourth seed will have to face LCK's fourth seed for an opportunity to play in the Play-Ins Stage. T1 versus Invictus Gaming will happen on Oct. 14, 2025, at 4 p.m. CST / 10 a.m. CET / 1 a.m. PT.
LTA
- FlyQuest
- Vivo Keyd Stars
- 100 Thieves
FlyQuest has been dominating the LTA scenario since 2024, with a roster full of talent. Once again, they were superior in the LTA North, getting a pass to the Cross Conference, where they defeated Vivo Keyd Stars. The Brazilian team qualified as the second seed, followed by 100 Thieves.
LEC
- G2 Esports
- Movistar KOI
- FNATIC
The European League of Legends scene has produced countless rising stars over the past few years. Among them, G2 Esports stands out as one of the most dominant and consistent teams in the region. Although their journey hasn’t always been flawless, G2 continually finds a way to bounce back and reclaim its place at the top.
Meanwhile, Movistar KOI, who fell to the LEC champions in a 3–0 series, still secured their spot at the LoL World Championship as Europe’s second seed. FNATIC, who won the LoL Worlds first edition, has qualified as the third seed.
LCP
- CTBC Flying Oyster
- Team Secret Whales
- PSG Talon
Founded in 2022, CTBC Flying Oyster is a relatively young team that has quickly risen to prominence. Since their inception, they have enjoyed remarkable success, claiming multiple domestic titles and impressing on the international stage. Notably, they secured a 3rd–4th place finish at the First Stand and finished 5th–6th at the MSI 2025, solidifying their reputation as one of the most promising teams in the competitive scene.
Another surprise this year is Team Secret Whales, a Vietnamese team formed in December 2024 following a partnership between Team Whales and Team Secret. They were defeated by CTBC Flying Oyster in the LCP Grand Finals, but secured their LoL Worlds first participation as the second seed. PSG Talon qualified as the third seed.
