Match 1
The crowd roared as two titans clashed, each vying for the MSI 2025 trophy in a battle for the ages. Everyone was playing not to make any mistakes, but as soon as the team fights started, everyone was on edge, trying to get the best out of it.
Early on, Gen.G seemed to have the upper hand, but as the mid-game unfolded, T1 began to build a commanding gold lead. In a chaotic skirmish at the Athakan, sharp decision-making combined with smart positioning and movement chipped away at T1’s gold advantage. Still, in the process, Orianna became a major threat. Gen.G was overextending, making too many mistakes. And the first match goes to T1!

Match 2
After regrouping, Gen.G returned with a single objective: avoid repeating the errors of the previous match. Although their plan to "protect the Senna" didn't happen since Duro picked Nautilus instead of a Tahm Kench, Senna proved resilient, managing to evade a formidable trio of Galio, Wukong, and Camille while still inflicting significant damage. Ultimately, it was Chovy who stole the show, delivering an incredible performance on Ryze that defined the match. The second match was a victory for Gen.G!
Match 3
All the confidence Gen.G showed in the second match seemed to vanish in the third. Their teamfights fell apart, as T1 consistently outmaneuvered them, surviving skirmishes and capitalizing on every opportunity. Gen.G found themselves on the back foot, struggling to regain control.
In a decisive clash at the Athakan, they crumbled, ultimately conceding the game. At that point, there was simply nothing left they could do to turn it around. The gold advantage was way too big for Gen.G to do anything about it. Gumayusi's quadra kill was perfect to end the game and make the crowd go insane!
Match 4
Trundle’s early-game gank set the tone perfectly for Gen.G in the fourth match, giving them the momentum they needed. Both teams played cautiously, minimizing mistakes. T1’s draft leaned heavily into a defensive setup, relying on tanky frontliners while placing their hopes on Hwei and Jinx to dish out the damage from the backline.
Gumayusi Jinx was very strong during the game, which was not looking good for Gen.G, but both Ruler and Chovy were just super powerful, dealing a ridiculous amount of damage. The gold lead for Gen.G started to increase a lot. After an incredible Baron fight, Gen.G finished the game and opened the doors for another Silver Scrapes. This is the ninth series that goes to a fifth match, what an amazing MSI!
Match 5
The decisive match was peak League of Legends — intense, strategic, and filled with raw determination from both sides. Every decision had to be precise. There was no room for error.
Gen.G gradually took control of the map, with Ruler snowballing early thanks to a crucial double kill. Canyon’s Nidalee was unstoppable, dominating the jungle and pressuring every lane.
Gumayusi found himself 2k gold behind, making it nearly impossible to make an impact as Caitlyn. Gen.G executed their game plan flawlessly, leaving no room for mistakes and no openings for T1 to exploit. This victory belongs to Gen.G, who not only claimed the MSI 2025 trophy but will return to South Korea riding an incredible 23-series win streak.
