CTBC Flying Oyster are the first League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) champions after the region’s rebrand.
The inaugural season of the League of Legends Championship Pacific, or LCP, was capped off by an amazing grand final between CTBC Flying Oyster and Team Secret Whales. After an exciting best-of-five, CFO lifted the LCP 2025 trophy and are Worlds-bound as the region's first seed.
Tale of the tape - CTBC Flying Oyster and Team Secret Whales
This is the second time the two teams have met in the playoffs of the LCP 2025 Season Finals. Round 2 pitted CFO and TSW against each other after winning their opening playoff matches. This series went 2-1 in CFO's favor, sending the Vietnamese team to the lower bracket. Here, they beat Vikings Esports, GAM Esports, and PSG Talon to earn a rematch against CFO.

CTBC Flying Oyster were consistently dominant in the season. In fact, they did not drop a single match in the entirety of the split and remained undefeated until the end.
LCP 2025 Grand Final - CFO vs TSW
The LCP 2025 grand final culminated in the Tiên Sơn Sports Palace in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam.

The first game of the best-of-five made it look like it would be a close series. TSW found leads in skirmishes, but CFO's coordination in teamfights eventually shifted the tides in their favor.
The second game was a lot more one-sided, though. The CFO carries dictated the game from minute one and promptly overpowered the enemy team.

Game 3 told a similar story to the first game, but again, TSW was unable to convert their small leads into anything more. In particular, CFO midlaner Tsai "HongQ" Ming-hong's Akali gave them a lot of trouble, especially in the early game.
With this win, CTBC Flying Oysters cement themselves as the best team in the region, lifting the newly minted LCP trophy. Fans can once again look forward to CFO's stellar performances on the international stage as they qualify for Worlds 2025 as the LCP's first seed. Team Secret Whales and PSG Talon accompany them as the second and third seeds respectively.
Thanks to his heroics and consistency, HongQ was awarded the Finals MVP award.

"I’m really glad we were able to win 3-0 and become champions, I feel all my teammates played very well. There were a lot of fans in the stadium today, and that made the atmosphere very lively," said HongQ.
The 2025 League of Legends World Championship begins on October 14, 2025.
