Baiheng in Honkai Star Rail: Who is the Foxian archer?

If you're a fan of Honkai Star Rail and you watched the new Animated Short: Ichor of Two Dragons, you might have noticed a new face, Baiheng. Here's what we know about her so far.
Who is Baiheng in Honkai Star Rail?
Baiheng was a member of the High-Cloud Quintet, who are a legendary group of Xianzhou heroes in the Honkai Star Rail lore. The High-Cloud Quintet were led by Jingliu, the previous Sword Champion of the Xianzhou Luofu.
The High-Cloud Quintet tie into Dan Heng's storyline in version 1.2, which is the core of the Scalegorge Waterscape chapter. The group came to an end with the Sedition of the Imhibitor Lunae, a topic also touched upon on version 1.2, so we won't spoil anything.
In the lore, Baiheng is a Foxian who wielded a recurve bow designed by Yinxing (now known as Blade). The first visual of Baiheng appeared in May 2023, initially from a leaker. In the artwork, Baiheng is seen fighting alongside the four other members of the High-Cloud Quintet.
Baiheng is the only member of the High-Cloud Quintet whose fate has never been shared. With the 1.2 update focused heavily around the past of the Quintet, version 1.3 could hopefully see more mention of her as they tie up loose ends. Baiheng has not appeared in-game yet outside of mentions, but she could be the thread that ties the story together in the upcoming update.

So far we've seen 4 of the 5 High-Cloud Quintet appear in the main storyline. Jing Yuan, Dan Heng and Yixing (Blade) are all already playable characters, and MiHoYo have already confirmed Jingliu as an upcoming character.
Will Baiheng be a playable character in Honkai Star Rail?
MihoYo has made no official announcement about Baiheng nor have there been any leaks regarding a playable version of her. However, there are theories that Baiheng is actually already in the game.
In a thread on Miyoushe, a Chinese Honkai Star Rail community, a theory was posted that Bailu is the reincarnated version of Baiheng. If Dan Heng was Dan Heng Inhibibitor Lunae, why couldnt Baiheng also reimagine herself?
Outside of similarities in appearance, Jing Yuan also seems very familiar with Bailu

- Jing Yuan regularly visits Bailu and knows her favourite food
- Jing Yuan potentially hints at knowing Bailu in a previous lifetime
- Baiheng was a traveller with The Nameless, Bailu starts having dreams of travel. "I don't why but since I left the Express, I started having dreams. I dreamed about travel, I must've been locked away too long."
