The best loadout for the M16A4 in XDefiant
We put this XDefiant M16A4 loadout, like all the others we've shared, to the test ourselves. It's a powerful weapon that we think you'll enjoy if you want to put up high kill or even high objective scoring games.
Attachments
Just like all other weapons in XDefiant, you can only assign five attachments. You don't even have to level it too far to make this loadout possible. Reach level 19 and you can start assembling it:
- Muzzle: Barrel Extender
- Front Rail: Angled
- Optics: Reflex
- Rear Grip: Leather-Wrapped Grip
- Stock: Padded
The M16A4 already does solid damage. You can take out enemies with two bursts to just about anywhere on their person. This one, however, makes a full burst to the head an instant kill up to 15m. Anything further than that or in the body will require additional shots.
You'll also notice a buff to the accuracy. Mobility gets a nice increase, too, so you can take on enemies quickly and from any range. There is hardly any recoil unless you're firing from a super long distance across the map.

- Cleaners: Fire damage is always a plus in XDefiant. You're looking at the Incinerator Drone here to put fire on the ground and the Passive Trait to deal burn damage with the shots you land. Chipping away at enemy health is a surefire way to get kills with the M16.
- Libertad: High kill games mean you probably should avoid dying a ton. That kind of defeats the purpose. There's no better way to stay alive in XDefiant than with the Libertad Faction's abilities. You can heal yourself and those around you to keep on fighting and gaining eliminations.
- Phantoms: The Phantoms defensive capabilities cannot be understated. They get a base health increase as their Passive Trait, and their Mag Barrier is perfect for objective modes. Place it down in the direction of the enemy team and you're guaranteed a few kills and some OBJ points.
