April 2026 is shaping up to be a raid-focused month for Pokémon GO, with several meta-relevant Pokémon expected to appear in 5-Star Raids. Fans of Steel-type Pokémon also have plenty to look forward to, as multiple events featuring the likes of Tinkatink, along with other unannounced Steel-types, are reportedly on the schedule.
While the datamined information has not yet been confirmed by Scopely or The Pokémon Company, it strongly suggests the possibility of an April GO Bigger event, where players could battle and catch newly introduced Gigantamax Pokémon.

If the datamine rumors are true, the Max Battle Day might be the must-play event of April 2026, followed by the Tinkatink Community Day and Steeled Resolve: Taken Over.
Tinkatink is the base form of Tinkatuff, which evolves into Tinkaton, one of the best Dragon-type counters in PvP battles. Meanwhile, Taken Over events like the one on April 30 may give both new and veteran players a chance to catch Shadow Pokémon with strong IVs that are viable for raids.
