Gigantamax Pokémon battles are bound to return in Pokémon GO this April 2026.
The Pokémod Group, a well-known website and Pokémon GO dataminer, shared a leak that points to a possible comeback of the GO Bigger Event from 2024, renaming it as “GO Bigger Replay.”
Based on the group’s latest datamining information, GO Bigger Replay is scheduled for April 25. It will feature event-themed Gigantamax Battles similar to the mechanics of GO Bigger 2024 and Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Max Finale.
While The Pokémod Group hasn’t shared anything about a possible multiple Gigantamax debut in Pokémon GO, there’s a strong chance this event could introduce two or three, especially since there are still 17 Gigantamax forms yet to be released in the game.
What we know so far about Pokémon GO’s April 2026 GO Bigger Event

As of writing, the rumored GO Bigger Event hasn’t been posted yet in any of Pokémon GO’s official social media channels. However, the game already confirmed that April events will involve lots of Max Battles under the Memories in Motion Season.
A Max Battle Day is even scheduled for April 25, which lines up with the datamined information. However, until The Pokémon Company makes an official announcement, it is best to treat the rumor with caution.
Key highlights of the previous GO Bigger Event
Looking back at the GO Bigger Event from October 2024 gives us a rough idea of how the April 2026 edition could play out.
During the GO Bigger Event of 2024, Pokémon GO introduced three Gigantamax Pokémon in the game, namely the final evolution forms of the Kanto starters: Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
The event also debuted their Shiny Gigantamax forms, making it one of the rare opportunities to obtain a Shiny Gigantamax Charizard, which is arguably the coolest Charizard design of all time.
Why this event is worth playing?
Unlike raid battles, players can fight and capture Pokémon that can Gigantamax in Power Spots. Joining Max Battles requires a set amount of Max Particles. Since players can only collect a limited number each day, special events typically offer ways to earn more.
Max Battles are also restricted to Pokémon capable of Dynamax or Gigantamax, making it important to stock up on high-IV or hundo options with these abilities.
With the GO Bigger Event rumored to be just around the corner, it would not hurt to mark your calendar, especially if you are aiming to secure more Gigantamax-ready Pokémon for battles or trades.
