YouTuber Jacksepticeye vows to make "the BEST Bloodborne adaptation possible" as he is named producer for the R-rated movie.
Bloodborne fans may not have gotten the first few things on their wishlist, but at least they’re getting something. CinemaCon 2026 opened with several blockbuster announcements, one of them being an R-Rated Bloodborne movie produced by none other than YouTuber Seán “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin.
What we know about the Bloodborne movie
Sony Pictures presented the R-rated animated feature on the first day of CinemaCon 2026. Sony, alongside PlayStation Productions and Lyrical Animation, will be working on the movie. Details were sparse, but we do know one thing: Jacksepticeye will produce the movie.
He has continued making YouTube content, but he’s been branching out to other forms of media as well. Just recently, he voiced “Punch Up” in the narrative-driven video game Dispatch.
The YouTuber and creator reached out to the Bloodborne fanbase through the r/bloodborne subreddit, where he shared the news. “I am producing this project and you have no idea how incredibly excited I am to finally be able to talk about it!! I am going to do everything in my power to make this the BEST Bloodborne adaptation possible,” wrote Jacksepticeye. “Not only is it my favourite game ever made, but I know how truly passionate the fans of this game are and how much hunger they have for more of it.”
He’s not all talk, either. The first video on his Bloodborne playthrough is titled “My Favourite Game of All Time.” Collectively, his Let’s Play series on this game has amassed over 24 million views.

He took his fancy for Bloodborne outside the game, too. Below is a photo of him with the Holy Moonlight Greatsword:

He is also extremely vocal. In fact, this isn’t even the first time he’s mentioned wanting to be involved in a Bloodborne adaptation. Four years ago, he posted a Tweet about wanting to “play a dead body in a Bloodborne show.”

Those who are unfamiliar with Jacksepticeye, despite his wide 31-million-subscriber reach on YouTube, are skeptical of his involvement with the game. Whether they trust Jacksepticeye to make a worthy adaptation or not, one thing remains the same: Bloodborne fans are hoping (and coping) for any news of a remaster, remake, or even a port of the beloved FromSoftware title.
