A prize pool of $250,000 USD will be on the line.
The live broadcast for Hearthstone Masters Tour Stormwind will kick off this Friday. Between Oct. 22 and 24, players from over 40 countries will duke it out against each other within the United in Stormwind expansion. The lion’s share of the $250,000 USD prize pool will be at stake.
How Masters Tour Stormwind works
The Hearthstone Masters Tour Stormwind broadcast will begin on Oct. 22 with four swiss rounds. On Saturday, competitors will battle in swiss rounds five to eight. This will be followed by a round of 16 on Sunday, the top eight players, the semifinals and the finals.
Players will bring four decks into the fray and duel under the conquest format. Each player will also ban one deck from their opponent. The competitors with the best score out of five will advance to the next phase of the tournament.
How to earn Hearthstone card packs
The Hearthstone Masters Tour Stormwind broadcast will begin each day at 6 a.m. PDT. Fans who watch the live action over on YouTube will get the opportunity to earn a maximum of two Year of the Phoenix card packs.
The eligible YouTube channels include the following:
- English (Hearthstone)
- English (Hearthstone Esports)
- Portuguese (LATAM)
- Spanish (LATAM)
In order to earn these card packs, viewers must watch two hours of the Hearthstone Masters Tour Stormwind broadcast. Another two hours must be watched in order to get another card pack. The time watched will be cumulative throughout the tournament as well.
To get started, one must connect their YouTube and Battle.net accounts. They can do this by visiting the “Connected Apps” section on YouTube. From there, one must click on the “Connect” button that’s located next to Battle.net. After following the simple prompts, the viewer’s accounts will be connected and eligible for card drops.
After Hearthstone Masters Tour Stormwind, Masters Tour Undercity will take place between Nov. 19 and 21.
