Coming next year is a new way to play BG: Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos! Here’s everything we know, all thanks to our main man, Cho’Gall.
The two-headed ogre comes to Hearthstone, in more ways than one. Co-operative card formats are nothing new if you're a fan of Magic: The Gathering. Now one is coming to Hearthstone Battlegrounds with Duos, a tag-team way to play BG. Better yet, it's bringing everyone's favorite ogre cultist, Cho'Gall along for the ride as a new BG co-op Hero.
There's much to see and do, so let's break down what we know about the mode launching next year.

What is Hearthstone Battleground Duos?
Two heads are better than one! For those unaware, this isn't the first time that the big, magical oaf Cho'Gall has ushered in a co-operative play mode. Cho'Gall was also a playable dual tank/mage in Heroes of the Storm, where one player controlled the body and the other handled magic casting. And it was amazing.
Please bring back HOTS. And now he's back for Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos.
In this new, separate mode from OG Battlegrounds, you and a friend--or random teammate--will share a health bar and card pool as you battle other teams. Teams can swap cards in between rounds, as each will feature its own unique Tavern.
Missing that third card for a much-needed Triple? Let your bestie help you out of a jam. And if you aren't in direct contact with your partner then you can use in-game emotes to mime out some teamwork.
Those attending BlizzCon are able to try out Battlegrounds Duos right now, so keep an eye on socials for first impressions. Will we get more co-op only Heroes? Personally, I'm hoping for two murlocs stacked up on each other's shoulders in a trench coat. They'd be unstoppable!
