Stand-in buff! Berlin Major Group Stage sees a good start for teams with stand-ins

OG is top of the group with two stand-ins

Name a more iconic duo than OG and stand-ins. The prominent organization has been facing continuous VISA issues since the new roster's first LAN appearance in 2022. But their record with a skewed roster is incredibly.. good.

There were worries and doubts about OG's performance at the Berlin Major as MinD_ContRoL and Kitrak fill in the shoes of DM and Chu. But so far, OG is killing it. The team has scored three series wins against Xtreme Gaming, Talon Esports, and Team SMG. They also scored three draws against Tundra Esports, Team Spirit, and Invictus Gaming with no series losses at hand. This pushed them to the top of Group B with a 9-3 scoreline.

BetBoom Team has yet to lose a series

The Eastern European all-star team, BetBoom Team, had a rough run at the first Major in Lima, Peru. But this time is something different. The team couldn't secure a VISA for Pure and the young player had to once again miss a Dota 2 Major. BetBoom's roster for the Berlin Major is completed by star player and Old G's current offlaner, Resolut1on.

While BetBoom crashed and burned at the Lima Major, their performance at the Berlin Major is impressive so far. BetBoom grabbed a series win against TSM and managed to secure draws against Team Liquid, 9 Pandas, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Aster, and Evil Geniuses. The EEU team now stands in third place in Group A with a 7-5 scoreline.

Team Aster is the best-performing Chinese team during the Group Stage

The Chinese powerhouse, Team Aster, coupled with the presence of Dota 2 prodigy, SumaiL seems to be doing well. The bizarre combination in Team Aster managed to stay in the top 4 aka the green zone of Group A with a 6-6 scoreline. Team Aster secured a win against Execration, and draws against Team Liquid, 9 Pandas, PSG.LGD, and BetBoom Team. They also had one series loss against Gaimin Gladiators who are currently top of the group.
