Puteli and 8Juho8 win Red Bull Flick 2022

The Red Bull Flick 2022 weekend featured the rising stars and professionals of the CS:GO scene. In the global 2v2 tournament, Puteli and 8Juho8 from KUUSAMO.gg duked it out against others in Red Bull Home Ground maps.

Throughout the weekend, the rising CS:GO teams dominated the competition. The final match ended up being an amateur versus amateur fight! Finnish duo Puteli and 8Juho8 fought against swiiry’s Oskar “raks0n” Ludwiczak and Mateusz “mati” Knapik for the gold.

These players were no strangers to Red Bull Flick as they placed second and third respectively last year. The teams also faced and claimed victory over duos from FURIA, BIG, Ninjas in Pyjamas, G2, Heroic,OG, Spirit and Copenhagen Flames.

“I got everything I wanted this year,” Puteli said after winning. “I got my revenge on Team Spirit and we won as well!”

Red Bull Flick Invitational Copenhagen offers path to glory

Filmed in front of a live audience, the Red Bull Flick Invitational Copenhagen event, also known as Red Bull Flick 2022, was cast by Frankie Ward, James Bardolph, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche and Lucy “LucyLuce” Eastwood.

Since its inaugural tournament back in 2019, Red Bull Flick has been giving players in the amateur scene the opportunity to showcase their skills while changing up the traditional 5v5 format in CS:GO esports. The 2v2 format also resulted in unpredictable twists.

For example, during Red Bull Flick 2021, two rookies took down G2 Esports. These two rookies were Team Garnuchy’s Paweł “Yamii” Posta and Maciej “ZireaelGG” Wɫodarski.

Puteli and 8Juho8’s victory this year only adds to the incredible legacy and impact of Red Bull Flick.
