The Indian organization has expanded its operations.
Indian organization Revenant Esports has moved away from the local CS2 scene and expanded to Europe with the signings of two-time Major champion Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom, Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea, Adelin "adeX" Nica, and Kamil "reiko" Cegiełko on Friday, June 7.
The move to Revenant sees both NBK- and Nivera return to a professional CS2 team after time on the sidelines. The two-time Major champion under LDLC and Team Envy had been looking for a new project since Falcons benched him in September 2023.
Nivera, on the other hand, effectively returns to the scene after spending the last two years of his career playing VALORANT for Team Liquid and Karmine Corp alongside his older brother Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom. The 22-year-old most notably played CS:GO for Vitality between 2020 and 2021, and had announced his intention to come back to the game in March.
As for the rest of the team, Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea is the most recognizable name among fans as he previously played for Sprout, Falcons, and BLEED Esports. Revenant's CS2 team will play under the Hungarian head coach Patrik "pakesZ" Rozsos.

Why did Revenant move away from India in CS2?
For now, Revenant's CS2 players will live in Belgrade, Serbia as the organization is organizing a bootcamp there. The CEO of the organization explained why they signed a European team and departed the local scene.
"Our decision to enter the global CS2 arena was fueled by a passion for Counter-Strike and a strategic vision for global expansion," Revenant's CEO Rohit Jagasia said in the official announcement. "We have been keenly observing and exploring the European esports market for a while. CS2 has a very substantial viewership and a vibrant esports ecosystem in European territory and hence it also translates to more monetization and partnership opportunities for us. This is another step for us in the direction to create a truly global esports organization, from India."
When does the new Revenant CS2 team debut?
Revenant's new CS2 roster will debut on LAN at the Skyesports Championship 2024 in India, which will run from July 23 to 28. Aside from Revenant, this $200,000 tournament will also feature Eternal Fire, The MongolZ, BetBoom, FURIA, and Aurora — the winner of Skyesports Masters 2024 in April.
