You heard that right. Apex Legends Season 24 will buff every single weapon.
Apex Legends Season 24 is a record-breaking milestone for weapon design. For the first time ever, Respawn are buffing every single weapon in the entire game.
Yes, every single weapon. That includes Care Package weapons, as well as things that are already considered to be popular and powerful.
While every weapon is being buffed, not all buffs will be created equal of course. Some weapons will be getting more love than others but when you dive into your first games next week not a single weapon will play or feel the same as Season 23.
Everything you need to know about Apex Legends Season 24:
All weapons are getting buffed in Apex Legends Season 24
While this is an eye-catching statement and headline, there is a lot of carefully thought out logic behind these changes. Developer Eric Canavese explained to esports.gg that the Respawn team feels weapon power just hasn't kept up with abilities and overall skill in the game.
They are treating Apex Legends Season 24 as a bit of a reset, rebalancing weapons and overall bumping up the power that weapons have in Apex Legends. This is one of a handful of Apex Season 24 changes that will make fighting quicker, and lower "TTK" (time to kill) across the seasons gameplay.
In order to make this the case, almost every single weapon is getting a damage buff. There is also big adjustments to headshot multipliers, which goes alongside the decision to remote helmets in Apex Legends this season.

Other weapons could come to the fore in Apex Season 24
In addition to rebalancing weapons as a whole within the game, Respawn are also hoping players will expand the weapons they use. Assault Rifles have always been seen as the "default" primary weapon in Apex Legends. Paired usually with an SMG, or a Shotgun depending on your input or the current meta.
Players using Marksman Rifles or Sniper Rifles have been seen as outliers. There have been periods in the game where the 30-30 Repeater or G7 Scout have been somewhat popular, but never as commonly used as the Assault Rifle class.
These changes are hopefully going too shake that up. Respawn say that both the Sniper and Marksman Class will feel particularly good to use this season. This is in part due to the removal of Helmets. If you can hit your shots, you can deal some major damage in fights.
Shotguns are also getting a major adjustment in Season 24. These weapons will no longer have a headshot multiplier at all. This has allowed their base damage to increase, rewarding consistency rather than precision. Previously, the risk of a huge 150 pump to the head was a limit on how high these weapons base damage could go.

So what are all the changes going to look like?
At the moment, Respawn haven't shared every change coming to weapons. Those will be kept under wraps until the Apex Season 24 Patch Notes. However, we do know the following:
- Assault Rifles are getting "nudges" rather than large buffs
- Shotguns will no longer have a headshot multiplier
- The R-99 is back on the floor
- The Kraber is back to one shot headshot (except for Red Armour)
- The Havoc "beam shot" is getting a buff
- The Peacekeeper is entering the Care Package with major buffs, which includes keeping its headshot multiplier
We also know the new damage values for all weapons.

New Apex Weapon Arsenals
Also new this season are Weapon Arsenals. These will be in every POI, and introduce a new way to grab your prefered Weapon and Ammo type at the start of a match.
Each Arsenal will have a specific ammo type, and will let you choose any weapon from that type and also grab some attachments and ammo too. This will allow you to always get your hands on a weapon, rather than opening a bin and crossing your fingers.
Additionally, you can now get your preffered loadout much easier. No more searching up and down for that one weapon you are a one-trick with. Load in, check the map, and head to the Arsenal you want.
Stay tuned as more information releases about Apex Legends Season 24.
