Season 24 looks set to be the season of assault in Apex Legends.

After Season 23 revamped the Support Class, Apex Legends Season 24 is giving the same treatment to the Assault Class. Legends in this Class (Ash, Fuse, Mad Maggie, Bangalore and Ballistic) are getting a suite of new class perks as well as some buffs to their individual kits.

This could be a sign that each Apex Legends Class will get their "time in the sun" in Apex Legends. The Support Class buff could have been a one off, but Season 24's Assault Class changes point to this being a regular thing over the next few updates.

Here's what's changing with the Assault Class in Season 24:

Everything you need to know about Apex Legends Season 24:

All Assault Class buffs in Apex Season 24

Respawn want to make the Assault Class the games "premium fighting characters" and help explode them into the meta. Really, only Bangalore has ever been considered meta in Apex Legends with the rest of her Assault Class colleagues never seeing much popularity.

Stowed Reload

The first new Assault Class perk is called Stowed Reload. This will give all Assault Legends the ability to reload weapons automatically after just two seconds. In essence, that means Assault Legends don't ever have to worry about reloading weapons.

This is something we have seen on the Gold Magazine attachment in previous seasons. That attachment is being buffed to match the power of the Stowed Reload perk.

Combat Reserve

The second perk will combine some things that the Assault Class already has. They will still be able to hold extra ammo, and access the Red Supply Bins around the map. In addition to this, they will have two extra slots in their inventory reserved for Ordinance (Thermite Grenade, Arc Star and Frag Grenade).

This allows the Assault Class to always have access, and space for, throwable weaponry in Apex.

Battle Surge

The third new Assault Class perk in Season 24 is where things really get spicy, This will be the most notable perk and will change every fight you take.

Whenever an Assault Class Legend cracks an enemy, they gain "battle surge" which grants a temporary speed boost, faster reloads and highlights the cracked enemy for the entire team. This will make getting the initial crack a huge opener in any fight and allow your team to get on the front foot.

Ash and Ballistic are getting extra buffs in Season 24

Just like with the Support Class buffs, two Assault Class Legends are getting additional buffs in Apex Legends Season 24. Ash and Ballistic have been unpopular for a very long time. These Legends really lack a useful identity and are incredibly forgettable options to pick from.

Now, they are going to be incredibly impactful on your games this season.

Ash Buffs:

Here is everything (that we know so far!) changing about Ash this season. Stay tuned for full Apex Legends Season 24 Patch Notes that will reveal the exact changes:

  • Several improvements to her Arc Snare making it easier to snag enemies
  • Changes to make her Ultimate more reliable, including having two charges after a Legend Upgrade, further distance and moving faster through it.
  • An overhaul to her Passive, introducing a new dash ability called Predators Pursuit. This lets her rapidly chase or reposition in a fight.

Ballistic Buffs:

  • Dual Tactical Charge and Sling Shot perk are now part of Ballistic's base kit
  • New Legend Upgrade that doubles his tactical charge (up to four!)
  • His Ultimate gives a movement speed bonus
  • His Sling can carry Care Package Weapons, and that includes giving them unlimited ammo
