FF 14’s Trust Dungeons are coming to WoW in the form of Follower Dungeons in the next content update, Seeds of Renewal. Here’s the info.

We're a mere week removed from the final major content patch of Dragonflight. And yet, Blizzard isn't stopping the hits just yet. We have plenty of miles to go until next year's release of The War within. Until that time, expect a number of smaller stops along the road to the WorldSoul Saga. One such stop was revealed today with the upcoming Seeds of Renewal update. Alongside such features as a return to the city of Gilneas is a new and fascinating feature to WoW, Follower Dungeons.

Have you ever wanted to play with--erm, by--yourself in WoW? Do you need to get back into tanking or healing shape before risking the lives of real players? Blizzard will have you covered come January.

WoW Follower Dungeons -- NPC parties ahoy

"Tank, heal, and DPS alongside follower NPC companions that join you on your Dungeon adventures. They will be available in all eight Normal Dragonflight Dungeons and can scale from 1–4 players," says the Blizzard post about its upcoming Follower Dungeons feature to WoW.

"These companions will allow players to learn about Dragonflight dungeons at their own pace and provide the freedom to experiment and customize their Party makeup."

In other words: Trust Dungeons from Final Fantasy 14. Yes, the new most popular kid on the MMORPG block is finally being ripped off by inspiring World of Warcraft to try new things. However, this is nothing but a good thing. How many times have you spent time away from WoW and suddenly forgotten how to play? I'm going through it right now with trying to re-learn how to dungeon and raid heal.

Well, worry no more, as you can now sharpen those skills without your jerkhole Rogue posting the DPS numbers after every boss encounter like it's some kind of "gotcha!" Honestly, this is a wonderful feature and bodes well for those who would love to discover dungeon content but also don't want to trial by error.

Look for Follower Dungeons and other features coming to WoW with the Seeds of Renewal update early next year.
