World of Warcraft (WoW) will get another WoW Variety Show event! This time, the WoW Variety Show will debut in WoW Classic Hardcore mode. It will also feature the new raid from Season of Discovery. Read on for details.

WoW Variety Show: You Only Live Once enters WoW Classic

The third WoW Variety Show will kick off on Dec. 9. Ahead of this date, interested players can sign up for activities such as the Race to Defeat Hogger, the Blackfathom Deeps Race, and Mak'gora Madness.

Here's what each of these activities will entail:

Race to Defeat Hogger
Players enter a fresh server in Hardcore Classic and create a new character. Players then level up to take down the Riverpaw gnoll chieftain. The first player who defeats Hogger while not in a party wins the race. Throughout the race, the Wheel of Warcraft adds in-game attributes that can either help or hinder players. This event also features celebrity contestants, according to Blizzard.
Season of Discovery: Blackfathom Deeps Race
Players race through the level 25 raid in Blackfathom Deeps. Four are to compete in this event, and sign ups are now open.
Mak'gora Madness
Some players from the Race to Defeat Hogger are invited to continue leveling their characters ahead Mak’gora Madness. Mak’gora Madness involves a single-elimination bracket filled with duels to the death. A total of 28 players with the highest level before this activity begins enter a final bracket alongside four celebrity contestants.

"Of course, we couldn’t end it there. We’ve got some special surprises in store for the show beyond these three activities, so stay tuned for more information on this episode’s additional activities," Blizzard stated.

How to sign up, what to expect, and where to watch

While the Race to Defeat Hogger will have a maximum of 400 players, the Blackfathom Deeps Race will have 36 spots in total. Nine of the Blackfathom Deeps Race contestants will be selected folks in the WoW community. As for Mak’gora Madness, the highest-leveled players from the Race to Defeat Hogger will enter at the beginning of the event.

The invitations will be extended to 5 p.m. on Nov. 27.

According to Blizzard, the WoW Variety Show prizes include in-game items and physical swag for the participants and viewers throughout the YouTube and Twitch broadcast.
