Overwatch 2 Season 2 has arrived, which means that players can now duke it out as DPS hero Sierra. They can also participate in Week 1 of the special Operation Grand Mesa event. Here’s everything to know about Operation Grand Mesa in Overwatch.
Overwatch Operation Grand Mesa event
Operation Grand Mesa is a three-week Overwatch event that runs from April 14 to May 12. It features Sierra’s arrival to the game plus the aftermath of her stand against Talon’s forces. This event lets players learn more about the details surrounding the attack on Watchpoint: Grand Mesa as well.
How does Operation Grand Mesa work in Overwatch?
Week 1 of the Operation Grand Mesa event grants you access to Tier 1 challenges. Completing these challenges means progress toward your Reward Pass. There are also some Meta challenges that take longer to complete. However, they do grant worthwhile rewards.
The same goes for Week 2 with Tier 2 challenges, but you must complete all of the Tier 1 challenges to unlock them. In total, you have three weeks to finish the Tier 1, Tier 2, and Meta challenges.
Overwatch Operation Grand Mesa rewards
In terms of the Operation Grand Mesa event rewards, they include Overwatch lore entries with new insights about the story so far. These lore pieces are in addition to Sierra-themed items plus a couple of loot boxes, three Overwatch Season 2 Battle Pass tier skips, and a rare player title.
