Activision Blizzard has done away with the commemorative sprays and icons players earned each season in Overwatch 1. Instead, Overwatch 2 will feature new limited competitive titles that players can display to show their progress in competitive matches. You can buy golden guns with Overwatch 2 competitive points.

Whare are Competitive titles in Overwatch?

Competitive titles are available only at the end of the season and players can only use them in the following season. These titles are a way of you showing off your highest skill to your friends. 

The limited Competitive titles are a temporary replacement for the commemorative sprays and icons that were part of Overwatch 1. 

How many competitive points to buy Overwatch 2 golden guns?

Players will continue earning Competitive points for their victories, including 15 points for a win and 5 for a draw. 3000 Competitive points allow you to purchase a golden gun of any hero. Golden weapons are often the most sought-after heroes in Overwatch 2. This includes weapons for new heroes such as Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko.

However, we’ll be capping the number of bonus Competitive Points earned at the end of a season to the highest skill tier you reach in any of your roles, including Open Queue.

Here’s how many competitive points are available for victories.

  • Win: 15 CP
  • Draw: 5 CP
  • Bronze: 65 CP
  • Silver: 125 CP
  • Gold: 250 CP
  • Platinum: 500 CP
  • Diamond: 750 CP
  • Master: 1,200 CP
  • Grandmaster: 1,750 CP

Overwatch 2 had a rough start with DDOS issues and server problems. However, the devs have been working hard to fix all problems. Console players joining Overwatch 2 will have to link their console accounts with their battle.net accounts in order to continue playing Overwatch 2. 

Overwatch 2 is free-to-play which allows players from all over the world to play Overwatch 2 with each other and rank up. Some players who had pre-ordered the Watchpoint pack have reported issues getting their rewards in-game. However, you need to have an eligible account with a phone number linked in order to gain access to the servers.
