Here’s everything to know about Overwatch 2 Season 7!

Blizzard just revealed the official Overwatch 2 Season 7 Rise of Darkness trailer! The next season of Overwatch 2 will have Halloween and event skins, the Trials of Sanctuary game mode, the return of Overwatch 2 Halloween event modes Junkenstein's Revenge and Wrath of the Bride, the new Samoa map, Sombra and Roadhog reworks, and more!

Overwatch 2 Season 7 Battle Pass skins

The Rise of Darkness Battle Pass will feature a bunch of new Overwatch 2 Halloween skins. According to Blizzard, every player will be able to earn epic skins such as Crimson Clown Soldier: 76 and Victorian Ghost Lucio.

Meanwhile, the Premium Overwatch 2 Season 7 Battle Pass will include mythic Onryō Hanzo, Azmondan Wrecking Ball, Victorian Doll Echo, and Diesel Barron Ramattra. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Battle Pass bundle will include the Lilith Moira skin, Inarius Pharah, and Pumpkin-Spice Bastion!

In total, there will be 17 new Halloween skins available through the Battle Pass and the in-game shop.

Overwatch 2 Trials of Sanctuary game mode

Next the Trials of Sanctuary game mode will let players duke it out against Lilith Moira. This crossover will arrive with the Halloween Terror event and be a co-op survival brawl. Players will be able to battle as one of six different heroes.

These hero options will be Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Night Raven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperious Reinhardt, and Inarius Pharah. In addition to Lilith Moira as a boss, the other ones will include Azmodan Wrecking Ball and Butcher Roadhog.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 trailer for Rise of Darkness

Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride will return as event modes in Overwatch 2 Season 7 between Oct. 10 and Nov. 1, according to Blizzard. There will be new challenges that grant Overwatch Credits, Battle Pass XP, and in-game cosmetics.

"For the first time, you’ll be able to spend your Credits to unlock Overwatch 2 heroes: Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, and Lifeweaver," Blizzard also revealed in the announcement. Players will have until Oct. 17 to get this offer.

"Your earned Overwatch Credits can also purchase returning skins in a limited-time Halloween Terror Credits Shop, including the new Gilded Hunter Sombra Legendary Skin, a new remix of Demon Hunter Sombra!" Blizzard added.

These limited-time cosmetics will be available in the shop until Nov. 7.

New Samoa map enters Overwatch 2

A new map will arrive in Season 7 as well. This will be the Samoa map and it will feature control points on a beach, downtown area, and inside of a volcano. This map will be available starting Oct. 10 through the Arcade, Quick Play, and Unranked modes. It will be in Competitive mode later on.

Sombra rework, Roadhog update, and a new Route 66

Additionally, Sombra will get a rework at the start of the season while Roadhog's rework will arrive midseason. Another change in Overwatch 2 Season 7 will be an updated Route 66 map. According to Blizzard, the attackers will get better protection as they exit the first spawn. Meanwhile, defenders will have a better chance at stopping the payload.

 "You’ll also be able to cool off with new overcast lighting for the map," Blizzard added.
