Mortal Kombat 1’s official release date is Sept. 19.
Ahead of the Sept. 19 launch date for everyone, a Reddit user leaked the full Mortal Kombat 1 roster. The user also posted footage of a cutscene being played on the Nintendo Switch.
Mortal Kombat 1 roster leaks
Over on Reddit, user rearisen posted an image of the supposed Mortal Kombat 1 roster. The post was later removed by the subreddit's moderators. According to the Mortal Kombat 1 roster leak, the upcoming game will feature 23 characters as the main fighters. Some fans believe that the blank space will mean 24 main fighters in total.

Mortal Kombat 1 on the Nintendo Switch
Additionally, the user made a post about Mortal Kombat 1 being run on the Nintendo Switch. The video showed a cutscene from the game.
"I have an early copy, I would avoid on switch as the performance isn't up to par for a $70 title," the user stated in the post. "Lots of lag whenever there is a lot of screen movement. This strange persistent screen glitch that tears the middle of the screen, is the most jarring thing."
It's important to note that the game is two weeks away from its official launch date of Sept. 19. The Reddit user's experience with the Nintendo Switch's version may not reflect the final player experience.
When is Mortal Kombat 1 coming out?
The official Mortal Kombat 1 game will launch on Sept. 19. In addition to the Nintendo Switch, it will be available for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Meanwhile, players who pre-ordered either the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition or Kollector's Edition will receive early access to the game on Sept. 14.
