PapaSmithy joins FlyQuest to help their overall business strategy after three successful years with 100 Thieves.
Following his departure from 100 Thieves after a three-year tenure, Chris "PapaSmithy" Smith has joined FlyQuest as the organization's President and Chief Gaming Officer. PapaSmithy spent three years as the General Manager of 100 Thieves and helped to greatly improve their League of Legends team.
100 Thieves finished top four in the past four splits and won the LCS Summer Split Championship in 2021. The team also made back-to-back Worlds appearances but fell short in the group stage. Papasmithy announced his departure from 100 Thieves earlier stating that he's interested in building something great in esports in 2023. Now, he will look to turn FlyQuest's fortunes around in the LCS. The organization has spent the last two years in the bottom half of the LCS standings despite several roster changes.
