This Friday starts the Ruins of Alterac Masters Tour with YouTube broadcasts and free packs as drops for the viewers. Ruins of Alterac will be the last Masters Tour under the current expansion. The top 400 players from all over the world will clash for a share of the $250,000 in prizes and the chance to compete in Hearthstone’s World Championship. The second Masters Tour of the year gives farewell to the Horde vs Alliance theme in Ruins of Alterac. This Masters Tour will not only have $250,000 in prizes, but it will also grant 32 spots to the third major event of the year. Furthermore, every win is key for the players aiming for the Summer Seasonal Championship. As a cherry on top, the Masters Tour Ruins of Alterac will have drops for viewers to earn free packs while watching.

The first three major events will qualify 16 players to the Summer Seasonal Championship with an extra $50,000 in prizes and what's more appealing, 4 World Championship invites. Furthermore, the top 4 point earners in the last 3 Masters Tours of 2021 and the first 3 of 2022 will get an invite to GrandMasters: Last Call slots.

How to get free packs watching Ruins of Alterac Masters Tour

If you a Hearthstone Esports fan you probably know the drill, but just in case, here are the important things to know to get drops during Ruins of Alterac MT. You can get 2 free Hearthstone Packs for watching 4 hours of Ruins of Alterac MT. The watch time is cumulative throughout the weekend, so don’t worry if you can’t do it in one sitting.

To receive Hearthstone Drops during Masters Tour Ruins of Alterac, you will need to link your Blizzard Battle.net account with YouTube. You can do this in simple steps:

  • Log in to your YouTube account.
  • Go to Account Settings.
  • Click on “Connect” next to Battle.net. Don’t forget to be logged into your Blizzard account on which you’d like to claim your Hearthstone packs.
  • After successfully connecting your accounts, you will be able to see a Diamond by the “Like” button below the video.

Masters Tour Ruins of Alterac details

The second Masters Tour of the year will have the same format as its predecessor. With two stages of competition divided into three days. The first stage starting on Friday will be an 8-Rounds Swiss bracket, in which players will give their best to get the top 16 spots that advance to the final day of competition.

The best 16 players will battle in a single-elimination bracket on Sunday until Hearthstone finds one player that rules them all! The event will have live coverage during the whole weekend. However, differently to what happens in Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends, players aren’t allowed to stream their point of view.

    • Saturday: Swiss Rounds 5-8
    • Sunday: Round of 16, Top 8, Semifinals, & Finals
