Hearthstone Masters Tour Onyxia’s Lair starts this Thursday night (Friday morning for Asia-Pacific and some parts of Europe) with $250,000 in prizes. More than 400 players from all over the globe will compete for a share of the $250k and to make their dream of becoming a Hearthstone World Champion true. Drops return too, so check out how to get those free packs in this article.
Masters Tour Onyxia’s Lair
The first of six Hearthstone Esports Majors is starting, just days after the launch of Onyxia’s Lair Mini-Set. The players will have to solve the meta in just a few days with stakes higher than ever. On top of the $250,000 in prizes, players will compete for their Seasonal Championship invite and the chance of qualifying for the Hearthstone World Championship.
Onyxia’s Lair Masters Tour will have the same format as the last three Hearthstone Major events. The event will be played in the classic 4 deck, best-of-5 Conquest with a ban format. Players will compete in an 8 swiss round stage during the first two days with the Top 16 advancing to a Single Elimination Bracket to be played on Day 3. To receive Hearthstone Drops during Masters Tour Onyxia's Lair, you will need to link your Blizzard Battle.net account with YouTube. You can do this in simple steps:
- Log in to your YouTube account.
- Go to Account Settings.
- Click on “Connect” next to Battle.net. Don’t forget to be logged into your Blizzard account on which you’d like to claim your Hearthstone packs.
- After successfully connecting your accounts, you will be able to see a Diamond by the “Like” button below the video.
