It’s about time to sit down at the tavern once again. Blizzard gave us our first taste of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 6 today, revealing a new mechanic, minion hybrids, and a big honkin’ list of holiday reveals to come. Launching Dec. 5, the Season 6 update brings 32 new minions and 42 new spells while removing 33 current minions.
Say so long to your favorites and get ready for a whole new heaping helping of Battlegrounds, y’all.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 6: Spells ahoy
The biggest addition to Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 6 is the inclusion of spells to the Tavern Tier. These spells will have a cost and Tier just like minions, with 42 spells in total coming to the mode. According to Blizzard, “each time you Refresh the Tavern, it will include a spell of your Tier or lower on top of your normal number of minion offerings for your Tier.”
However, sling those Spells wisely–They cannot be Tripled and are one use only. NO FREE REFILLS.
Minion hybrids aplenty
Minions are the name of the game, and Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 6 has got the goods. A whopping 32 brand new cards enter the arena, with a number of new combinations. I mean, c’mon: Look at the Elemental/Pirate Land Lubber. HE’S ADORABLE and also I want to roll him down a hill at an unsuspecting village.

Battlegrounds Season 6: Time to run the track
We all love battle passes here, so what would a new season of Hearthstone Battlegrounds be without new goodies? The Season 5 track will end on Dec. 5, so get going while the getting is good. This time around, the rewards include the Western Legendary Strike, 19 additional Hero Skins, a new Bartender, and more.
