The Weeknd Fortnite skin: Release date and what’s included

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, is coming to Fortnite, joining the likes of Eminem, Ariana Grande, and more. The latest Icon Series collaboration brings another Grammy Award-winning artist into the game to celebrate the new Fortnite Festival game mode. On top of an in-game musical performance, The Weeknd Fortnite skin has officially leaked. 

The Weeknd’s Fortnite cosmetics arrived, as expected, on December 9. This launch occurred alongside Fortnite's new Festival game mode, which works similarly to Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

A few options exist for those looking to unlock The Weeknd in Fortnite. One set of cosmetics is available via the Fortnite Item Shop. The complete bundle costs 3,500 V-Bucks, but you can pick and choose singular items if you'd prefer.

Those looking to unlock the red suit style for The Weeknd’s Fortnite skin must subscribe to the “Paid” version of the Festival Pass.

Fortnite Festival is a musical game mode that works similar to Rock Band. Fans caught a sneak peek of it during The Big Bang, particularly during Eminem’s performance.
