Here’s the lowdown on the new Make Some Waves Emote!

Fortnite has recently been on a roll with new Icon Series Emotes, adding popular TikTok dances set to recognizable songs. Players have flocked to the Item Shop to spend their V-Bucks on these Emotes, which can be used in almost every game mode. The latest one, the Make Some Waves Fortnite Emote, arrived in a recent Item Shop rotation. Based on a song by Kylie Minogue, this dance will become the next go-to for players.

Make Some Waves Fortnite Emote explained

Set to Kylie Minogue's Grammy Award-winning song "Padam Padam," The Make Some Waves Emote features music from the track alongside choreography by TikTok dance tandem Brookie and Jessie. The dancing duo boasts 3.8 million TikTok followers, choreographing dances to various popular songs.

Brookie and Jessie published their famous Padam Padam dance video on June 6, 2023, garnering 2.1 million views. Players quickly flocked to the video upon learning of the dance's origins.

Beyond TikTok, Brookie and Jessie have hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube and Instagram. Although perhaps not as significant, the two, alongside two-time Grammy Award-winning artist Kylie Minogue, can officially add Fortnite to their accolades.

How can I unlock the new Icon Series Emote?

The Make Some Waves Fortnite Emote is available now in the Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks. This price is the same as most Icon Series Emotes, especially the ones based on popular songs and TikTok dances. To purchase the Emote, you can head to the Item Shop, locate the item in the Item Shop, and exchange 500 V-Bucks for the dance.

You can equip the Emote right from the purchase screen or your Locker. This is one of the few dances you can use in LEGO Fortnite, which may add more value to your purchase.
