Could this pave the way for a Hazbin Hotel collaboration?

Fortnite’s new Reapers Showtime Emote has people stirring about a potential collaboration with Hazbin Hotel. This new emote is based on the animated musical comedy program. It is currently available in the Fortnite Item Shop, and here is everything you need to know, including the origin and how much it will cost to acquire the Emote.

Reapers Showtime Emote explained

The Reapers Showtime Fortnite Emote references the song “Insane” by YouTuber BlackGryp0n, which he published two years ago on his channel. Since then, the video has garnered over 53 million views, making it the second-highest on his channel. Although the Hazbin Hotel pilot debuted on YouTube in 2019, this video did not arrive until two years later.

Hazbin Hotel’s creator – Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano – viewed the video and loved it. Although this is not an official Fortnite x Hazbin Hotel collaboration, it’s the closest the game has gotten thus far. The song’s creator tweeted out a gleeful reaction to the Reapers Showtime Emote.

Now that you know the background behind this Emote, here is how to unlock it.

Those seeking the Reapers Showtime Emote can open Fortnite and head to the Item Shop. Once there, scroll down to the seventh page containing the Reapers Showtime Emote and Snowfoot Bundle. The Emote will cost 300 V-Bucks, a couple hundred less than other Icon Series Emotes.

Many Icon Series Emotes have been added recently, including Go With The Flow, Me & You, and Social Climber. It’s unclear if Reapers Showtime could lead to a Fortnite x Hazbin Hotel collaboration, especially considering the song is only based on the show. However, if enough players flock to the Item Shop and purchase it, the crossover is not out of the realm of possibility.
