Many leaks regarding Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 have begun ahead of its March 19 release date. Here's everything we know!

The road to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is underway. Epic Games recently surprised players with an in-game lore-related event followed by an encore for anyone who missed it. However, various Fortnite leaks have emerged thus far, unearthing much of what fans can expect when in Chapter 7 Season 2.

This article covers many of those leaks, including some related to the upcoming season’s theme, the Battle Pass, and what collaborations to expect.

Leaks suggest Fortnite Season 2 will have a “Norse” theme (sort of)

The belief for the last few months was that Season 2 would feature a “Norse” theme. However, a recent development via leakers Loolo_WRLD and SpushFNBR alleges that it will not be fully Norse-themed. What the other part of the theme could be is unclear. It’s worth noting that The Seven is returning, so that could be the other half of the Season 2 theme.

Leaks confirm the Looney Tunes are coming to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

Several leakers have reported that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 will feature the inaugural Looney Tunes collaboration. This crossover will include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny. All indications, per the leaks, are that Bugs will be available in the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass, while the others will likely be Item Shop skins.

Daffy’s Fortnite set will include the following:

  • Daffy Duck Outfit with a LEGO style
  • Back Bling
  • Emote

ShiinaBR has also reported that “remixed” versions of Fortnite characters, The Order and The Foundation, will appear in the Battle Pass.

An Overwatch collaboration could arrive in Season 2

Rumors of a Fortnite x Overwatch crossover have been circulating for a few months. Recent leaks suggest this could occur in Chapter 7 Season 2 and will likely feature D.va, Tracer, Genji, and Mercy. One of these characters may appear in the Battle Pass, while the others will be Item Shop skins.

A new version of Polar Peak will be part of the map

Not much has come to light about the map changes for Season 2, but Epic Games published the image above showing a drop spot similar to Polar Peak. It’s unclear whether the entire map will be ice-themed to some extent, but the location depicted in the image above this character’s head is one of many to expect.

Chapter 7 Season 2 lore roadmap revealed

Epic Games recently delayed the launch of Chapter 7 Season 2 from March 4 to March 19. While the reason is unknown, the developers have outlined a roadmap of events in the lead-up to the new season. Players should see in-game events coinciding with these dates:

  • March 7 – Ordinance Deployed
  • March 8 – It Returns
  • March 9 – It Begins
  • March 12 – Wave 1 – Destabilized 60%
  • March 13 – Wave 2 – Destablilized 80%
  • March 14 – Prepare for the Final Wave
  • March 18 – Mission Recap
  • March 19 – Locate Foundation

The Rock may return as The Foundation

The Foundation returns in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

One of the most groundbreaking choices in Fortnite occurred back in Chapter 3 Season 1, when Epic Games cast Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as The Foundation. This character has remained largely absent from the lore since Chapter 3 Season 3, but he will return in Chapter 7 Season 2.

Epic Games has confirmed this, but whether The Rock’s voice and likeness will return is unclear. It seems likely, but we will have to wait until March 19 for further confirmation.

What else can we expect?

Fortnite’s Design Director Ted Timmins outlined much of what fans can expect during a Q&A on X. HYPEX compiled a list of what Timmins confirmed from top-to-bottom in Chapter 7 Season 2.

  • Loot Pool is almost entirely refreshed
  • Multiple funny items
  • Looney Tunes-type items
  • Team-based Mobility Item(s)
  • Multiple new movement items
  • Season 2 is “leaps ahead” of S1
  • New experimental XP update(s)
  • Multiple Quality-of-Life updates
  • Possibly a new bus driver or intro
  • More secrets to come in this chapter

When is Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 coming out?

As mentioned above, Epic Games initially planned to launch Season 2 on March 4, but delayed it to March 19. That means the season should be up and running following an event on either March 19 or March 20. We should know more in the coming weeks.
