Two Chinese teams, EHOME and Knights, have been eliminated from the Lima Major after a poor performance.
The Lima Major Group Stage is almost over. Following the third day, two teams from China, EHOME and Knights, are confirmed to be eliminated. These two teams are also the current hot topic in the Dota 2 community as cheating and matchfixing allegations loom above their heads. Four more teams will join EHOME and Knights after the final day of the Group Stage concludes.
EHOME and Knights are the first to face elimination
EHOME and Knights came to the Lima Major as underdogs, with up-and-rising players from China and Malaysia. Knights had a strong showing in China (CN) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), defeating PSG.LGD and putting a strong challenge against Team Aster. The team managed to secure a third-place finish, followed by EHOME in 4th place.
However, both teams came to the first Major of the year with looming allegations. Knights was initially accused of using map hack in a DPC match. The accusations were brought to Valve but there have been no updates. A few weeks later, the team was once again in the hot seat after a few personalities accused them of matchfixing in a match against EHOME. Again, there was no development in this case.

During the Lima Major, EHOME dropped four series and scored three ties. The team has yet to play against Talon Esports which will happen on the final day of Group Stage. However, no matter the outcome of the series, the team will sit in the elimination zone of Group A.

Knights who is playing in Group B sees a similar fate. The team lost almost all their matches with six series losses and one tie - confirming their elimination. The team will play its final series tomorrow against HellRaisers.

Four more teams will be eliminated
The Lima Major Group Stage will bid goodbye to four more teams tomorrow. Two teams in Group A and two teams in Group B will join EHOME and Knights on the bench. But which teams will this be?
At the time of writing, TSM and Execration stand at the bottom of Group A with a 6-8 scoreline. TSM will have one final clash against Evil Geniuses and Execration against Team Spirit. TI11 champs, Tundra Esports are also at risk with a score that barely escapes the red zone.
In Group B, Eastern European (EEU) teams, BetBoom Team and HellRaisers, found themselves at the bottom with a 5-7 and 5-9 score respectively. BetBoom is not performing well despite fielding an all-star roster that bagged a convincing first-place finish in EEU DPC. HellRaisers, on the other hand, are playing at a disadvantage as Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev stands in for the team last minute.
These teams might not see the light of the Main Event but we can always anticipate huge turnarounds on the final day.
