The next exciting Dota 2 tournament is right around the corner! The final line-up of teams and talent for ESL One Summer 2021 has been confirmed.

The brilliant end to the AniMajor no doubt has fans itching for more action. Luckily for us, between now and the TI Open Qualifiers, there's more world class Dota 2 in store. ESL has announced ESL One Summer 2021, set to take place from June 16-20. The event features a whopping $400,000 prize-pool that 12 invited teams will battle for.

This tournament will be the first non-DPC event we will have this year. Even so, it will no doubt serve as an invaluable gauntlet for teams looking to test their competitive prowess.

Who are the 12 teams invited to ESL One Summer 2021?

ESL One Summer 2021 features 11 Direct Invites, with a single Qualifier Spot up for contention. After a heated qualifier circuit, EU DPC Team Tundra Esports emerged victorious to claim the Closed Qualifier Slot.

An announcement from ESL earlier this week saw Team Secret, Alliance and AS Monaco Gambit announced as the first few invites.

Shortly after, EU mainstays Nigma, OG and Team Liquid, coupled with CIS powerhouse Virtus.Pro joined their ranks as well.

Open Qualifier runners-up Vikin.GG and Team Unique were also brought in subsequently. This was due to Team Spirit and other initially invited teams who withdrew to focus on the TI Qualifiers.

Finally, rounding up the line-up is AniMajor semi-finalist T1 and NA representatives Quincy Crew. Despite not being from the EU region, it's likely these teams have extended their stay post-major in Kyiv to continue practicing together.

Additionally, ESL has also announced the broadcast talent that will be bringing us the tournament. Most of the talent would be familiar faces from the AniMajor, except for everyone's favourite weatherman Purge.

With such an exciting line-up of teams and talent, there's no doubt that the level of competition at ESL One Summer 2021 will be stellar.
