Nigma Galaxy will start its journey from Division II with SumaiL as its midlaner.

It is confirmed! The king finds a new home in the Dota 2 pro scene. Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan officially joins Nigma Galaxy Europe to compete in the upcoming Tour 3 Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC).

Today, Nigma Galaxy revealed what has long been speculated - SumaiL's arrival at the Western European team. NGX posted a welcome video, portraying SumaiL's roots and legacy. A receipt of a gaming cafe in Pakistan, a bike for sale, an Aegis, and a TIME magazine featuring the young gamer. Then, the video reveals SumaiL on a throne. He picks up a crown and wears it. Then the video shows the phrase "The King of Mid."

Following the departure of SumaiL from Secret and iLTW from Nigma Galaxy, the community connected the dots. The TI5 winner joins the veteran squad that also claimed their Aegis of Champions at TI7. This roster is definitely exciting to see as a lot of the biggest names in Dota 2 will be playing together under the same banner.

SumaiL will assume the midlane/position 2 role in Nigma Galaxy, meanwhile, Miracle- returns to the carry/pos1 role.

The Nigma Galaxy roster now comprises:

  • Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi
  • Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan
  • Ivan Borislavov "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov
  • Maroun "GH" Merhej
  • Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi

A new beginning for Nigma Galaxy and SumaiL

Nigma Galaxy hasn't had a great season, placing last in Division 1 of WEU DPC. This also means the team gets demoted to the Lower Division.

The veteran squad showed some plausible performance at the Gamers Galaxy Invitational last March, placing 3rd. However, the team needs to find its footing in the DPC to make it to The International 11. Nigma Galaxy currently holds 0 DPC points and the only way to make it to the biggest Dota 2 event of the year is through the qualifiers. SumaiL and Nigma Galaxy have a short time to adjust and perform together in the upcoming DPC season. You will see the team compete for the promotion slot in Division II during Tour 3 of WEU DPC.

Things are starting to heat up in the pro scene as TI11 approaches. The grand event will take place in Singapore in October 2022.
