In less than eight days, ESL Dota will return to Birmingham with another exhilarating tournament after five long years. The best teams congregate once again to fight for the esteemed ESL trophy and a chunk of the hefty $1 million prize pool. Here is everything you need to know about ESL One Birmingham 2024 from teams, talents, tickets, and schedules.

As usual, there are two parts to the tournament; group stage and playoffs. The group stage will commence on April 22 - 24 while playoffs will be between April 26 - 28. While the participating teams have been announced, ESL has not released a detailed schedule for the group stage just yet. The following are the teams and their respective groups:

After the long group stage, the Elite League has narrowed down to eight teams for the playoffs after OG and Team Spirit were eliminated in the Round Robin stage. The playoffs will kick off on April 12, featuring four best-of-three (Bo3) matches in the first two days. Elite League playoffs: Schedule and results



The playoffs are scheduled from April 12 to April 14.  There will be four Bo3 matchups in the first two days, starting at 11 a.m. CEST, with a fixed schedule. The final day will begin with the Lower Bracket Finals at 3 p.m. CEST.

Waterbending has been in Fortnite since April 2, meaning the three other elemental abilities were held aside for the Fortnite Avatar: The Last Airbender event. But Alireza would express dissatisfaction afterwards because of a much different reason.

After the Candidates Tour Round 9 ended, Alireza Firouzja took to Twitter/X to publicly call out chief arbiter, Marghetis, for interrupting him mid-match. The reason was that Alireza's shoes were making noises on the wooden floor thus the arbiter told the GM to stop walking around. He also asked Alireza to wear a different pair of shoes for the next days.

Candidates Tour: Alireza calls out arbiter for interrupting him mid-match due to noise complaints

MoistCr1TiKaL, owner of Moist Esports, has taken to YouTube to complain about his Apex roster struggling to acquire a visa for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Two members of the team are from Australia, and do not have legal status in the United States. 



This roster, which is one of the favourites to win the competition, still does not have permission to enter the United States to compete. According to MoistCr1TiKaL, the team will only be able to compete if they are released from the organisation.



According to his YouTube video, the team has been released as a result of this struggle. Supposedly, this was the only way the team would be able to compete at the event.

MoistCr1TiKaL vented passionately for over ten minutes on YouTube about his experiences trying to get the Most Esports Apex Legends team permission to enter the United States for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs.



In an impassioned rant, MoistCr1TiKaL revealed that even with EA executives and the best immigration lawyers working alongside the organisation, they simply cannot get the visas sorted before the event.







"We have been working with the best lawyers in the industry. The best lawyers on the f***king planet that specialise in this field. None of them can believe that we have been declined, again. They've never had these issues before. They are as stunned as we are. 



"We even have one of the highest level executives at EA going to bat for us with US immigration and lobbying for us...even with the goddam Avengers on our side US immigration slams the door and turns us away like it is a lacrosse house party in college."



He goes on to add that he believes "I'm convinced that if Jesus Christ resurrected right now, US immigration would turn him away."

Since Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Set 11 Inkborn Fables' release, there has been a dominance in reroll compositions, both 2 and 3-cost. In the latest B-patch, 3-cost reroll compositions such as Yone reroll and Duelist reroll that benefit from level 7 odds and Titan's Resolve are very prevalent.



Additionally, 4-cost carry compositions are less prominent than what is considered healthy for the game. While Kai'sa carry functions at level 8 and caps well at level 9, it is harder to compete with the reroll meta with any other level 8 and 9 standard composition. 



Many of the changes in the large upcoming patch remedies the state of the meta to expand the diversity of playstyles and meta compositions.

Return of the Tactical AR in Fortnite update



The Tactical AR is officially making its return to the Fortnite island. While this gun's bloom may be a bit heavier than other ARs, it has a fire rate that makes other guns look weak. Not only that, but its scope abilities will give players a chance to really hone in on their sights. 







The gun was first released back in Chapter 1, and since that has been seen on the island multiple times. This, however, will be the first time the gun has been available with interchangeable scopes. 



LEGO Fortnite Edit Styles



Edit Styles are officially coming to LEGO Fortnite. This means your favorite skins that have multiple options in the Battle Royale, will now also include multiple options in LEGO Fortnite.







Details on the new Edit Styles in LEGO Fortnite have not yet been released, so whether or not every skin will have them is unknown.

Gamers Galaxy has announced a $250,000 Dota 2 LAN tournament in Thailand. The event will bring the best teams in Dota 2 together in SEA and will be one of the final SEA events before TI11.

The tournament will take place over a three-day period from August 18-20, 2022. With eight teams in participation, the event kicks off the Dota 2 SEA season followed by ESL One Malaysia and concludes with TI11 in Singapore. The International 11 is the biggest event in the Dota 2 calendar and last year’s event featured a prize pool of more than $40 million.

The Gamers Galaxy Thailand Dota 2 event will take place on the 5th floor of HatYai Hall – Central Hatyai with free access to all.

The event requires people to carry their certificates of vaccination and identity cards including passport for foreigners and Thai National Identity card for Thailand nationals. However, the website also says unvaccinated people will be allowed after undergoing a negative test on the Antigen Rapid Test (ART).&nbsp;

The Arlington Major will end on August 14 and with the <a href="https://esports.gg/news/dota-2/gamers-galaxy-thailand-dota-2/">Gamers Galaxy Invitational HatYai </a>commencing on August 18, teams would barely have any time to travel and rest. This is likely the reason why no teams from other regions are participating in this event. On top of the HatYai Invitational, ESL One Malaysia is also coming soon on August 23.

The second edition of the Gamers Galaxy Invitational is coming to HatYai, Thailand very soon. The event is scheduled to take place right after the PGL Arlington Major from Aug 18 - 20. With 11 more days to the LAN event, Gamers Galaxy finally unveiled the lineup of teams that will compete for the $150,000. 



While the previous Gamers Galaxy event that took place in Dubai hosted a more global lineup from multiple regions, this edition sees a SEA concentrated competition. Here are the 8 teams that will compete at the Gamers Galaxy Invitational HatYai on August 18 - 20.
