The second phase of DreamLeague Season 22 has ended. This phase saw eight teams clash against each other to collect points and it ended with four teams bidding their farewells. The four remaining teams after Group Stage 2
From sixteen teams to the final four. Team Falcons lead the standings, being the only team that has no series defeats. It is no surprise to see the MENA kings dominate this tournament. They are indeed the favorites as they were fresh off a victory at the BetBoom Dacha Dubai.
Closely following behind Falcons is BetBoom Team. This all-star lineup has been on a swift momentum, consistently gaining a top placement and recently securing third in BB Dacha. The team showcases incredible chemistry and powerful performances, easily securing a spot in the Playoffs.
While these two teams confirmed their Playoffs placement early, Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming had to clutch their way through the top 4 on the last day of Group Stage 2. Spirit and XG have been quite unstable recently. But they have shown that they are capable to bounce back stronger than any other opponents.
No Western European teams are left in DreamLeague Season 22
One of the most shocking turnarounds of Group Stage 2 is the elimination of all Western Europe representatives. OG has been on an impressive run with Timado as a last-minute stand-in. They even pulled off a surprising win against Xtreme Gaming. Many of the team's losses were also close contests. However, OG takes the fall during the last day of the tournament, barely losing to Team Spirit 2-1.
Gaimin Gladiators saw a similar ending. The team needed to secure a series win against Xtreme Gaming - both teams vying to grab the last slot to advance in DreamLeague Season 22. Their last game was an intense 71-minute chaos and GG almost delivered an epic comeback. But following a disastrous base fight, the three-time Major champions failed to advance.
It didn't help that dyrachyo suffered an unfortunate Tormentor death that could've been one of the many reasons GG failed to win.
