They’ll try to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

Famous streamer ohnePixel is personally backing a team to try to qualify for the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major, the second Valve-sponsored CS2 event of 2024, he announced on Monday, August 12.

Although ohnePixel has been an important member of the Counter-Strike scene over the past years, he has never owned a team before. He made a name for himself due to his tournament co-streams, his ever-growing presence in skin trading, and more casual streams.

While this is ohnePixel's first venture into professional CS2 esports, he said he's even going to be the coach. Find out below the complete roster and when they debut.

Who plays on ohnePixel's team?

  • Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk (Ukrainian AWPer/IGL)
  • Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss (French/Moroccan rifler)
  • Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol (Israeli rifler)
  • Tal "meztal" Hahiashvili (Israeli rifler)
  • Meytar "AMSALEM" Amsalem (Ukrainian rifler)

Out of all the fifth players, Woro2k is undoubtedly the most famous. The Ukrainian AWPer and IGL was a part of Monte between July 2022 to July 2024 and most notably helped them reach the playoffs of the BLAST Paris CS:GO Major in May 2023. Woro2k also recently stood in for HEROIC at IEM Cologne in August.

Other than Woro2k, hAdji is another name most fans will recognize as he played for teams like Monte, 3dMAX, Falcons, and LDLC. The other three players, on the other hand, are unfamiliar with tier-one Counter-Strike and are still trying to break through the higher echelons of the scene.

When does ohnePixel's team debut?

The quintet led by Woro2k will make their debut at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Middle East RMR Open Qualifier, which kicks off on August 21. The team is eligible to compete in the Middle East qualifier because three of their five players are from the region.

This open qualifier will see seven teams qualify for the closed qualifier, and then just one team will make the Asia-Pacific RMR in November.
