When is IEM Chengdu 2024?

IEM Chengdu 2024 kicks off on April 8, 2024. With sixteen teams in competition, the tournament will continue for a week ending on the 15th.

Where does IEM Chengdu take place?

IEM Chengdu will take place at the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre in Chengdu, China.

There are sixteen teams taking part in IEM Chengdu 2024. The sixteen teams compete for a $250,000 prize pool. Here’s the complete list of teams participating in the event.

The tournament invites include six partner teams. There are also for teams that secure their place at this event in their ESL World Ranking. The remaining teams have had to qualify via the regional qualifiers from all over the world. 

What is the tournament format?

The tournament has two groups of eight teams each. The teams play in a double-elimination format where the opening matches are best-of-one matches. All the remaining matches are best-of-three series.

The top three teams from each group advance to the event playoffs.

  • Group stage winners go to the semifinals
  • Runners-up go to Quarterfinals as High Seeds
  • 3rd place teams are advance to Quarterfinals as Low Seeds.
