Heretics… TAKE MY VAMOS!
Esports organizations Misfits and Heretics have combined forces to field a fully Spanish team in the Call of Duty League called Miami Heretics, starting in 2024.
The announcement of the partnership celebrated the seventh anniversary of Heretics as an organization. The team have been around in multiple esports in their existence but have been away from Call of Duty since 2019's World League.
As first reported by esports.gg in May, the two brands will come together, with the new team playing out of the old Florida Mutineers facility. It is important to note that unlike the G2 and Version1 merger, this is simply just in regards to the Call of Duty League team.
In their official announcement, Heretics thanked fans for welcoming them back into the league.
"We are humbled and thrilled to be back in the leauge. Miami Heretics is here and we couldn't be more excited," the statement read.
"Miami Heretics is here to continue [Florida Mutineers'] legacy and bring back from the spirit of the Heretics brand to Call of Duty. We don't just represent the city of Miami or the Spanish and Latino community, but every person that loves CoD with the same passion that we do."

MettalZ garnered a reputation in European Challengers over his insane ability to get kills and dominate on the scoreboards. There were times that he dropped 40-bombs in back-to-back series'. A quiet but determined character, Adri is one to look out for when it comes to making an impact.
He was also on the Team Notorious roster that fell just shy of becoming Challengers World Champions in Vegas in June. They did, however, win a chip at the Texas Major last season.
Vikul
- Name: Javier "Vikul" Milagro

Also with time on Atlanta FaZe's academy, JurNii is no stranger to having to compete with players fighting to be the best.
Lucky
- Alejandro (Alex) "Lucky" Lopez
- Age: 23
- Role: Main AR
Another returning Heretics alumna, Lucky has consistently been at the top of the game in Challengers for years. He was also on Heretics for the entire original run of Call of Duty, right up until 2019 before signing as part of the funky 10-man roster that Toronto Ultra decided to try and make work in 2020.
Lucky didn't get to play a single game for Ultra in the 2020 season and will come into the 2024 season ready to show everyone that he's one of the best out there.
