The new season of Call of Duty MWII is set to bring tons of new features to the game. One of the new aspects of Season 01: Reloaded of CoD MWII is a Raid. The first of its kind, the Special Ops Raid is called Atomgrad. The raid can be unlocked in one of three ways and is set to have tons of rewards for completion that include a new, but familiar Operator, Gaz.

The details of the Special Ops Raid

On the official Season 01: Reloaded blog post, some more details have been revealed about the Special Ops raid. The event continues the story events of the Modern Warfare II campaign, where Price, Farah and Gaz make a grim discovery in Urzikstan. The Atomgrad Raid is a part of the Special Ops, and with that, the raid uses the Kit system. So be sure to have a high tier kit heading into the raid.

In terms of rewards, the Atomgrad Raid has a lot to offer. Not only do players unlock the familiar but new Operator Gaz, but they also unlock a new Playlist. This Playlist contains a harder difficulty that tests even veteran players. Additionally, throughout the raid there is tons of Intel. Acquiring the Intel can unlock extra cosmetic items as well as worldbuilding in the Modern Warfare II universe. Alongside the other new operator coming in the Season 1 update, there are tons of awards to earn.

Unlocking the Atomgrad Raid

The Special Ops raid is not unlocked from the get go. The Atomgrad Raid is only unlocked to those who have earned the assignment. However, there's no need to fret as we have the answers. You can unlock the Atomgrad Raid in one of three ways:

  • Completing a specific Daily Challenge in Multiplayer or Special Ops
  • Place within the top 20 in any Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale Playlist
  • Extract in DMZ with at least $30,000 cash

Although there are three methods, you only need to complete one of these challenges to unlock the raid.
