A new Apex Legends team for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced their new Apex Legends roster, switching regions from EMEA to Americas moving forward. This is not a totally fresh start however, with coach Raven remaining with the organisation to guide the new team.
The roster they have chosen to sign is the team formerly known as 9Lies, who have added Kurvev to their roster during this post ALGS Open break. The team have made a strong start to the ALGS Pro League in eighth overall. This position would qualify them for the ALGS Midseason Playoffs and earn them a healthy amount of Championship Points should they be able to maintain it.

The move marks a final end to a long running relationship between Ninjas in Pyjamas and EMEA star, Gnaske. We had heard earlier this month he was moving to the bench. Several iterations of the EMEA roster had shown potential, but never managed to deliver the LAN results that the organisation demanded. Their incredibly poor ALGS Open showing was the final straw for the organisation.
In Vein, McLovin and Kurev they have a totally different prospect. A team that isn't in the regions limelight, with so many big names to contend with, but a hugely talented roster. There was a lot of surprise when Kurev left Team Liquid after the teams BLGS win and other success. 9Lies also made a great start to the Pro League season, and have added a lot more experience now Kurev is onboard.
Vein has a really strong ALGS record, with a 2021 ALGS Championship win sitting alongside strong LAN performances including 3rd place at the 2023 ALGS Split 2 Playoffs. McLovin has less experience, but is adapting very quickly after a breakout year with EEC in 2024.
Signing to Ninjas in Pyjamas will draw attention to this Apex roster, as will the addition of Raven. However, NIP will hope this team can continue to quietly be successful and book their spot at the ALGS Midseason Playoffs, now confirmed to take place in early July.
