After the introduction of Legend classes in Season 16, Season 17: Arsenal welcomes a major overhaul of the Firing Range, Ranked Play and the introduction of a new item: the EVAC tower. 63 year-old Ballistic also enters the Apex Games as the newest Legend.

The Ranked Play changes see the introduction of a hidden MMR system. Players will be required to play 10 calibration games at the start of the new season to determine their placement.

There will also no longer be splits mid-season with rank resets, the ranked season will last the entire Season 17.
