Respawn reveals launch date for Apex Legends Mobile
However, the launch is limited to a few countries.
Respawn Entertainment took to Twitter to reveal the launch date of Apex Legends Mobile on Wednesday. The mobile version of the popular shooter is expected to go through a limited launch across specific regions. With other popular shooters like Fortnite, Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile celebrating success with their mobile versions, Apex Legends players have been calling on Respawn to launch a mobile version of their favorite shooter for a while.
In a detailed blog post, Respawn Entertainment have provided some information on how Apex Legends Mobile is expected to rollout. Starting next week, Apex Legends mobile will be available to download in select countries. The game will be playable on both iOS as well as Android devices and the requirements don't look too hefty.
In which countries does the game launch?
As per the FAQs in their blog post, Apex Legends Mobile will be available to download in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia.
It'll be a limited regional launch so it's safe to assume that Respawn intends to tweak and improve the game further based on the information they receive from it.

Wattson, among the less popular legends in Apex Legends has enjoyed a significantly boosted pick-rate ever since she was offered to players as a free login reward as part of the anniversary event.
What kind of content and features will be available at launch?
Players will be able to pick between Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic during this launch. Respawn Entertainment have also promised a "select number of exciting systems and features for testing". It'll be interesting to see if Apex Legends Mobile is used as a testbed for introducing new features to the main game.
Is there any indication of a global launch?
Respawn has claimed that they will share more updates on the global launch after they've made "more informed decisions from the limited region launch". If you live in one of the participating countries, you can pre-register for access to the game once the limited launch rolls out.

As per the blog post, it looks like Apex Legends mobile can run fairly well on most modern devices. Here are the detailed specifications.

It'll be interesting to see how Apex Legends Mobile will fare once it launches globally. The game has a huge fanbase around the world and is enjoyed by a large player base on PC and current-gen consoles. Plenty of users have been waiting for its mobile version and it's safe to assume a lot of mobile gamers are going to download and play it.
