Gold Skull Rum is a valuable commodity in Skull and Bones, which you can create yourself to up your profits or obtain some mighty items.
Gold Skull Rum is one of several items you can create through your smuggling operation with the Helm in Skull and Bones. It is a higher rarity commodity that you can make in the endgame. You'll have to put some work in to get that point, however, and we'll show you how.
How to manufacture Gold Skull Rum in Skull and Bones
First and foremost, you need to reach the endgame. This is when you make it to the Kingpin Infamy rank, gain access to the Helm offices, and can start your smuggling empire.
You'll begin with White Skull Rum as the main Distillery creation. You can have the workers make White Skull Rum and use it in different Helm orders at the Order Registry. This is one way you can obtain Pieces of Eight.
Now that you now the tasks needed to begin your rum business, we'll walk you through how to get the Gold Skull Rum in Skull and Bones:
- Access the Helm Empire Overview in the Sainte-Anne or Telok Penjarah office
- Navigate to the Upgrades tab
- Use Pieces of Eight to upgrade the Smuggler Operations path to Level 7, which unlocks Gold Skull Rum Production
- Access the Distillery in the Sainte-Anne Helm office
- Select Provide Materials
- Choose to refine Gold Skull Rum, which requires two White Skull Rum for every one Gold Skull Rum
Since White Skull Rum is the base Distillery item in Skull and Bones, you might already know how to make it. If not, you can go to the Supply Network board in the office to either purchase Sugar Cane or attack Rogues/Forts to steal it.
The Sugar Cane is then used in the Distillery to make the White Skull Rum. With enough of it in Skull and Bones, you can create the right amount of Gold Skull Rum to acquire some powerful weapons, blueprints, and commodities to increase your Silver.
How to use Gold Skull Rum
There are two main ways to use Gold Skull Rum in Skull and Bones. You might see that you can choose it at an upgraded manufactory, but that simply increases the Pieces of Eight available for you to collect from there.
Instead, you can sell it as an order or use it as currency with John Scurlock. Just view the Order Registry in the Helm office, and if an order populates that requires Gold Skull Rum, you can take it to the location and earn some Pieces of Eight.
To use it for your own purchasing needs, dock your ship, get on land, and go to John Scurlock's office in Sainte-Anne. When you talk to him, you can choose the Buy and Sell Option. There, he'll have the following available for you:
- Scurlock's Long Nines - 1000 Gold Skull Rum
- Cannon Powder - Price Fluctuates
- Firearms - Price Fluctuates
- Rum - Price Fluctuates
- Scurlock's Chasers Blueprint - 1000 Gold Skull Rum
