Zenless Zone Zero is headed into season 2, and has begun revealing upcoming characters - Yixuan being one of them. While we've already seen her in the epilogue of Season 1's story, she's becoming a playable character, too. Check out when Yixuan's release date is, and what new things she brings to ZZZ.
Yixuan release date
The reveal posted on official social media accounts and on HoYoLAB tells us the potential release date for Yixuan in ZZZ: June 4, 2025. This is assuming that the game continues its usual schedule of shipping updates, but we'll keep you updated once it's confirmed.
She first appeared as an NPC in version 1.7. Yixuan invited the Phaethon siblings to Yunkui Summit, which she is the master of, to learn more about their implants and abilities. Aptly enough, her Faction is simply listed as "Yunkui Summit."
As a playable character, both her Attribute and Specialty are currently unknown. However, her Attribute is most likely a separate version of Ether, similar to how Miyabi's Frost Attribute is a version of Ice. Her rarity was also not revealed, but she will most likely be an S-rank unit.

However, Yixuan's Specialty is completely new, and she doesn't have any of the Specialties that currently exist in the game. This means she is not Attack, Anomaly, Support, Stun, or Defense - but something else altogether.
Her name has an emblem next to it on the reveal graphic, similar to Hoshimi Miyabi. Although the two emblems are slightly different, this denotes Yixuan's significance and strength both in-game and in the world of Zenless Zone Zero.
Her bird familiar is called the "Qingming Bird," according to Pan Yinhu in one of the quoted characters. Pan Yinhu, also a member of Yunkui Summit, was announced to be a playable character at the same time as her.
Zenless Zone Zero Season 2, scheduled for June 4, 2025, will add Yixuan as a playable character.
