WoW AWC Grand Finals kick off this weekend for The War Within Season 3!

If you cannot get enough of World of Warcraft (WoW) with the recent launch of the Midnight beta test, then the game's esports scene has its Arena World Championship (AWC) Grand Finals kicking off this weekend! Here's what you need to know about the upcoming WoW AWC Grand Finals, including where to watch the WoW esports action, what to expect, how to earn the free Ensemble: Violet Sweatsuit transmog set, and more!

Happening between Nov. 14 and Nov. 16, the WoW AWC Grand Finals event features The War Within Season 3. It's the culmination of three AWC Season 3 Cups for teams from North America (NA) and Europe (EU), with three teams already having spots in the Grand Finals. One final team remains per region, and that last slot is determined through the WoW AWC Gauntlet.

In terms of what to expect, the esports action kicks off on Nov. 14 with the WoW AWC Gauntlet, which consists of the bottom five teams from the AWC Season 3 Cups. This event also features a single-elimination bracket, making the competition as exciting as ever. Whichever team wins this one advances to the WoW AWC Grand Finals between Nov. 15 and Nov. 16. This event is played under the double-elimination format.

Throughout WoW AWC The War Within Season 3, Echo has completely dominated the EU scene. Its players not only had a strong start with Cup 1, but they also went on to win Cup 2 and Cup 3. Meanwhile, on the NA side, Gators Back claimed Cup 1 after a close finals, showing that despite being a newly formed team, each player's experience as a veteran of the circuit gave the roster its strength. Welcome to the Jung players then took control, winning both Cup 2 and Cup 3 with impressive performances of their own.
